South Hero is home to two famous apple orchards. Allenholm Farm is Vermont's oldest commercial apple orchard - in the Allen family since 1870. This legendary farm includes a Farm Store that sells an array of VT Products and fresh produce. Don't miss out on their Maple Creemees and Cider Slushies served in the summer months.
Hacket's Orchard has been growing apples since 1967. A family-owned diversified farm market with 47 varieties of apples, fresh cider doughnuts, fresh pressed apple cider, cider slush, and apple crisp.
Snow Farm Vineyard enjoys a unique micro-climate created by Lake Champlain, resulting in a growing season identical to Burgundy, France. A beautiful vineyard that offers so much more than wine! Enjoy weekly outdoor concerts all summer, fun for the whole family.
Ellison Estate Vineyard is truly a family affair fueled by the passion for the art of winemaking. Kendra and Rob Knapik founded Ellison Estate Vineyard in 2018 when they purchased an abandoned vineyard on a 50-acre farm in Grand Isle, Vermont. Ellison Estate Vineyard makes natural wine from one of the oldest and largest single plantings of grapevines in Vermont. All wines are made with native yeast fermentations and minimal intervention in the winery, which means that nothing is added or taken away during the winemaking process.
Two Heroes Brewery and Public house started over 5 years ago, when Matt & Daren decided that South Hero would benefit from a public house with community (and great beer) at the forefront.
Another family run business, Kraemer & Kin brewery in Alburgh launched in 2020 out of 20x30 garage. In 2022 they moved their growing operation to the Alburg Golf Links clubhouse. Enjoy, food, music and beautiful scenery along with your beer.
