About Pan's South Hero Pizza

Justine and Sani met in 2014 and bonded over their shared love of pizza and experience in the restaurant industry. At that time Sani co-owned Juniors Downtown in Burlington and Justine was working at Merchants Bank on College Street. What started as casual chats over deposits at the teller window eventually blossomed into romance. They got married and took over Pan's Pizza in 2023. 

Before taking over Pan's, Justine worked full time in the fitness industry as a personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She continues to teach yoga at Hot Yoga Burlington and UVM Campus Rec. She's also a Dragon Boat coach and paddler for Dragonheart Vermont. 

Sani has been in the restaurant biz for over 20 years. Coming to the US as a result of the war in former Yugoslavia, and not knowing a lick of English, he started delivering pizzas for Pizza Hut. Soon he had is own food cart, then a restaurant and an online restaurant equipment store. In addition to Pan's, Sani owns and operates The Beach House at North Beach in Burlington, and his online store, Gyrosknife.com. His oldest son, Sandi, has followed in his foot-steps and owns his own food truck, Church Street Cheese Steaks. His youngest son, Djani, is attending UVM, majoring in exercise science. When Sani's not working he's playing pickleball! Be warned, if you mention pickleball to him, settle in for a long conversation.
